Russia files complaint against EU’s AD measures on CR flat steel imports

Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development has announced that it has applied to the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) dispute settlement body for consultations with the European Union (EU) regarding the antidumping (AD) measures of the EU on imports of certain cold rolled flat steel products from Russia.
 
The mentioned antidumping (AD) duties for Russian companies are in effect since August 5, 2016, with duty rates standing at 18.7 percent for MMK, 34 percent for Severstal, and 36.1 percent for NLMK and all other Russian companies.
 
The ministry stated that the reasons for the complaint are numerous violations of the WTO rules made by the European Commission in the course of the antidumping investigation.
