Rizhao Steel obtains international certification for Grade B shipbuilding plate

On October 20, Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Rizhao Iron and Steel Group (Rizhao Steel) announced that it has successfully passed the certification process for its grade B shipbuilding plate carried out by eight shipping bureaus from the UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Japan and South Korea.

The certification work was carried out on Rizhao Steel's 2,150 mm and 1,580 mm plate/coil production lines, which mainly produce steel plates and coils of 5-25 mm thickness and 1,500 -2,000 mm width for the shipbuilding sector.
