Rizhao Port’s iron ore imports set first-half record
Iron ore import at China's Rizhao Port surged 186 percent year on year to 12.82 million tons for the first half of 2005, setting a new record for the port. Most of the iron ore passing through Rizhao Port came from Australia, India and Brazil. India's 5.72 million tons of exports accounted for 43 percent of the total. Australia came in a close second with 5.275 million tons, 41 percent of the total.
