Raw coal output in China’s Yunnan Province totals 28.7 million mt in Jan-Apr

According to the authorities in China's Yunnan Province, the output of raw coal in the province in January-April this year amounted to 28.7 million mt, up by 4.9 percent year on year.

During the period in question, the province's sales volume of commercial coal totaled 30.57 million mt, increasing by 10.8 percent year on year, of which 4.33 million mt was sold to other provinces in China, up by 9.3 percent year on year. The overall inventory of coal in the province totaled 2.13 million mt as of the end of April, down by 11.6 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the first four months of the current year the coal industry in Yunnan Province achieved sales revenue of RMB 18 billion ($2.85 billion), up by 25.6 percent year on year.
