Rautaruukki releases H1 interim report

Finnish steelmaker Rautaruukki has released its interim report for the first half of 2008.

According to the report, during the first half of 2008 Rautaruukki's net sales reached €2 billion, up from the figure of €1.96 billion for the corresponding period last year, while its operating profit decreased from €356 million to €309 year on year.

The company's profit before taxes during the period in question dropped down to €308 million from €353 million in the first half of 2007.
