Raspadskaya’s coal sales decline in Q1

Russia's second largest coking coal producer Raspadskaya has stated that in the January-March period of the current year its coal output increased by one percent quarter on quarter to 1.591 million mt, but was down 10 percent year on year.

During the period in question, Raspadskaya's sales of coal concentrate went down by four percent quarter on quarter to 935,000 mt, while its sales of run-of-mine coal decreased by nine percent to 137,000 mt.

In mid-April, Raspadskaya plans to launch its new coal face No. 4-9-23 at Raspadskaya mine.
