Producer prices in French industry up one percent in Jan from Dec

In January this year, producer prices in French industry increased one percent month on month, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Producer prices for manufactured products in France increased by 0.4 percent in January compared to December and were up 3.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
 
In January this year, prices for exported manufactured products increased by 0.9 percent and prices of exported transport equipment fell 0.2 percent, both month on month. On year-on-year basis, in January prices of exported manufactured products rose three percent, while prices of exported transport equipment saw a 0.9 percent fall. 
 
Meanwhile, import prices for manufactured products in France in January increased 0.2 percent compared to December and were up 3.5 percent compared to the same month of 2016.
