Producer prices in French industry down 0.6% in Jan from Dec

In January this year producer prices in French industry decreased by 0.6 percent month on month, following a month-on-month rise of 0.1 percent recorded in December, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Producer prices for manufactured products decreased by 0.1 percent in January compared to December and were down 1.1 percent compared to the same month of 2013.
 
In January of the current year, prices for exported manufactured products remained unchanged month on month, while a month-on-month increase of 0.1 percent was recorded for prices of exported transport equipment. On year-on-year basis, in January prices of exported manufactured products fell 1.2 percent, while prices of exported transport equipment saw a 0.4 percent decline.
 
Meanwhile, import prices for manufactured products in France in January decreased by 0.2 percent were down 0.9 percent compared to the same month of 2012.
