Private sector mills in Hebei see gross profit of RMB 13.17 billion in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period of the year, private sector steelmakers in China’s main steel producing province, Hebei Province, produced 47.6302 million mt of crude steel, up 0.57 percent, 46.0492 million mt of pig iron, down 0.43 percent, and 66.432 million mt of finished steel, up 4.72 percent, all year on year, as reported by China Metallurgical News.

In the January-April period this year, private sector steelmakers in Hebei Province achieved aggregate operating revenues of RMB 334.88 billion ($49.25 billion), up 38.98 percent, and an aggregate gross profit of RMB 13.173 billion ($1.94 billion), up 49.47 percent, both year on year.
