Preliminary results of AD review on SSSS imports from Taiwan
Upon the request of several petitioners* and one Taiwanese producer, the US Department of Commerce (DOC), on August 30, 2004, initiated an antidumping administrative review on
stainless steel sheet and strip imported from
Taiwan. The review covered sixteen Taiwanese producer/exporters during the period July 1, 2003, through June 30, 2004.
The Department preliminarily decided to rescind the review with respect to seven producers that did not export the subject merchandise to the US during the period of review. The seven producers are Ta Chen
Stainless Pipe Co Ltd, Tung Mung Development Co. Ltd,
China Steel Corporation, Yieh Mau Corp, Chain Chon Industrial Co Ltd, Tang Eng Iron Works Company Ltd, and Yieh Loong Enterprise Company Ltd. Moreover, the DOC preliminarily rescinded the review with respect to three members of the Emerdex group of companies – Emerdex
Stainless Flat-Rolled Products Inc, Emerdex
Stainless Steel Inc, and the Emerdex Group – since these companies are not producers or exporters in
Taiwan.
For the remaining six producers, the following weighted-average dumping margins exist:
