POSCO’s carbon steel sales to trend sideways in 2012

South Korean steel producer Pohang Iron and Steel Co. (POSCO) has announced that its carbon steel sales for next year are expected to remain more or less stable with its sales in the current year.
 
In the January-November period of the current year, the steelmaker's carbon steel sales volume reached 29.80 million mt, while by the end of December the sales volume for the current year is expected to reach 33 million mt. POSCO states that it expects to sell 32.50 million mt of carbon steel next year. In 2012, POSCO expects its domestic carbon steel sales will increase and its export sales to decrease.
