POSCO to set up a steel plant in India

According to recent news in the market, South Korean steel producer POSCO is planning to establish a steel plant of 3 million-ton capacity in Orissa, India. POSCO is in negotiations with the state government regarding the subject. POSCO, in its annual report had stated that it would invest in India. Moreover, it is stated that POSCO's investments will not be limited to India. The Korean company is reportedly planning to invest Won 9.3 trillion ($7.9 billion) in Korea and foreign countries over five years.
