POSCO to build processing center in southwestern China

South Korean steel producer POSCO is planning to build an automotive plate processing center in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing.

The initial phase of the processing center is expected to come on stream in January 2008 with a 120,000 mt per annum sheet production capacity. The investment for this phase is estimated at $10.6 million.
