POSCO sets sights on Paradip for steel plant

The port of Paradip in India's Orissa state emerged as the front runner for South Korean steel giant POSCO's planned 400 billion ($9.1 billion) steel plant. SteelOrbis had previously mentioned POSCO's plans to establish a 12 million-ton steel plant in Orissa. The company initially focused on Dhamra and Duburi for the plant's location; however, Orissa's Paradip Port is now reportedly the No.1 candidate.
