POSCO completes construction of new galvanizing line at Gwangyang plant

South Korean steelmaker POSCO has announced that it has completed the construction of its new continuous galvanizing line No. 7 at its Gwangyang plant.
 
The new continuous galvanizing line is designed to produce super-high-strength steel for the automotive industry with an annual output capacity of 500,000 mt. The company invested KRW 255.4 billion ($224.79 million) for the project.

According to POSCO’s statement, the new continuous galvanizing line No. 7 is attracting attention as the world's first plant that can produce both hot dip galvannealed and hot dip galvanized steel for automobiles.
