POSCO commissions automotive steel processing plant in US

South Korean steel giant POSCO has commissioned its first automotive steel processing plant in the US, to supply high-end products to global car makers operating in the country.
 
POSCO has invested $19 million in the POSCO America Alabama Processing Center, located in Jefferson Metropolitan Park-McCalla, Jefferson County, Alabama, which has a production capacity of 120,000 metric tons a year,.
 
Alabama State hosts the world's leading automakers, including Honda, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai, among others.
