According to local news reports, major portions of bankrupt steelmaker RG Steel's assets were successfully auctioned off on Tuesday.

The Mingo Junction facility was sold to Frontier for $20 million while the Yorkville plant and 50 percent of Ohio Coatings was sold to Esmark for $4.7 million. A businessman in Wheeling, West Virginia purchased RG's Martins Ferry plant while Nucor bought the equipment at Wheeling Corrugating. However, there were no bids on the Wheeling headquarters or 50 percent of the Follansbee Coke plant.

As SteelOrbis reported, an auction for the remained of RG Steel's assets, including Sparrows Point, has been delayed until next week.
