Plate distributor Ranger Steel appoints new President and COO

Houston, Texas-based Ranger Steel Services LP, the largest independent steel plate distributor in the United States, announced Friday that Sales Vice President Jeff McPherson has been appointed President, and Operations Vice President Jochen Seeba has been named Chief Operating Officer.

Ranger owner Ron Whitley, former President and Chief Operating Officer, will assume the role of CEO. Annette Richards' CFO responsibilities will remain the same.

McPherson has spent his entire 33-year career in the steel business with Ranger, while Seeba has been with the company for 21 years.
