Peruvian rebar sales up in May

Peruvian rebar sales in May reached 131,493 mt, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency, INEI.

INEI’s data indicated local rebar sales in May rose 31.4 percent, year-on-year, from 100,013 in May 2016. On the month-on-month analysis, Peruvian rebar sales improved nearly 40 percent, month-on-month, from 94,287 mt in April.

Peruvian rebar sales in the accumulated period of January to May totaled 556,789 mt, 28 percent up, year-on-year.
