Peruvian iron ore output decreases 0.6 percent in January-October

Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, was up by 18.8 percent year on year in October this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
 
Shougang produced 590,512 mt of the commodity in October, up from 497,247 mt in the same month of 2015.
 
In the first ten months of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 6.38 million mt, decreasing by 0.6 percent year on year.
