Passenger car sales in Turkey up 19.48 percent in 2013

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD), in 2013 the domestic passenger car market expanded by 19.48 percent compared to 2012, with sales rising to 664,655 units. In December last year, domestic sales of passenger cars totaled 101,119 units, up 25.05 percent compared to December 2012 and up 57.83 percent month on month.
 
In 2013, sales of light commercial vehicles in Turkey declined by 14.79 percent year on year to 188,723 units. In December, sales of light commercial vehicles totaled 28,159 units, falling 17.27 percent year on year and up 87.82 percent compared to November.
