Panzhihua Steel’s iron ore concentrate output reaches new high in Q1

Sichuan province-based Chinese steel producer Panzhihua Iron and Steel (Panzhihua Steel) has announced that in the first quarter this year, its iron ore concentrate output totaled 2.42 million mt, increasing by 367,900 mt compared to the fourth quarter of last year, recording a new historic high.

In 2011, Panzhihua Steel produced 8.62 million mt of iron ore concentrate, up 744,200 mt from 2010. In 2012, the company plans to produce 10.5 million mt of iron ore concentrate.
