On August 16, Sichuan Province-based Chinese state-owned steel producer Panzhihua Iron and Steel (Pangang Group) announced that in the current month up to and including August 14 its subsidiary Chengdu Plates Co. received orders for over 1,000 mt of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)with polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) and silicon modified polyester (SMP) coatings. The volume in question exceeds all monthly volumes for orders received by Chengdu Plates for these products since September 2011.
