Pangang Gangcheng begins sponge titanium project

Pangang Group Gangcheng Corporation, the long steel producer located in Panzhihua City in China's Sichuan Province commenced its sponge titanium project in Panzhihua Vanadium-Titanium Industry Park on October 9, 2007.

The planned investment for the project is RMB 490 million ($65.2 million) and is expected to be completed within 18 months. When finished, the new facility will have an annual production capacity of 5,000 metric tons of sponge titanium.
