Sichuan-based Chinese steelmaker Pangang Group produced 804,300 mt of
iron ore concentrate and 42,400 mt of titanium concentrate in February this year, equivalent to 105.48 percent and 106 percent of the respective targets for the month.
Meanwhile, in 2011 Pangang Group produced 8.6225 million mt of
iron ore concentrate and 497,600 mt of titanium concentrate, increasing by 744,200 mt and 124,100 mt respectively as compared to the previous year and constituting the highest levels in the past 39 years. For the current year, Pangang Group expects to produce 10.5 million mt of
iron ore concentrate and 490,000 mt of titanium concentrate.
