Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 9.7% in April from March

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 225,628 mt in April this year, increasing by 9.7 percent compared to March and up 38 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $95.4 million, increasing by 11.39 percent month on month and up 44.65 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 264,382 mt, up 46.4 percent on year-on-year basis and rising by 40 percent compared to the previous month. In April this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $197.57 million, increasing by 47.88 percent year on year and up 42 percent month on month.
