Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 85.6 percent in July

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 442,942 mt in July this year, increasing by 22.4 percent compared to June and up 85.6 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in July was $142.85 million, increasing by 33.4 percent month on month and up 125.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in July amounted to 345,222 mt, up 4.1 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 74.7 percent year on year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $191.7 million, increasing by 8.2 percent month on month and up 42.1 percent year on year.
