Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 60.2 percent in April

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 417,255 mt in April this year, increasing by 19.2 percent compared to March and up 60.2 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $94.4 million, increasing by three percent month on month and down one percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 418,254 mt, up 22.4 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 40.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $212.86 million, increasing by 12.4 percent month on month and up 7.7 percent year on year.
