Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 0.7 percent in February

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 360,125 mt in February this year, decreasing by 16.5 percent compared to January and up 0.7 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in February was $96.14 million, falling by 14.4 percent month on month and up 10.1 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in February amounted to 279,587 mt, down 4.4 percent on month-on-month basis and falling by 7.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In February, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $168.2 million, decreasing by 7.3 percent month on month and remaining stable year on year.
