Pakistan Steel increases its production capacity

Federal Ministry for Industries and Production has recently announced that production capacity of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) will be increased from the current 1.1 million tons to over 3 million tons within three years. Moreover, capacity of the mill is planned to be increased further later on to meet domestic demand for iron and steel, which currently stands at 4 million ton-level. The demand is mainly from housing sector, the Ministry stated.
