The National Tariff Commission (NTC) of Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce has imposed definitive antidumping (AD) duties ranging from 6.09 percent to 40.47 percent on galvanized steel coils/sheets imports from China for a period of five years with effect from February 8, 2017.

The antidumping duty is 40.47 percent for Chinese exporter Angang Steel Company, followed by 13.31 percent for Hebei Iron and Steel Co. Ltd, 9.13 percent for Bengang Steel Plates Co. Ltd, and 6.09 percent for Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. The rate for all other Chinese producers and exporters is also 40.47 percent.

The NTC initiated the antidumping investigation on August 11, 2015 upon a complaint by domestic producers of galvanized steel coils/sheets against dumping from China into Pakistan.
