Finnish plant equipment provider Outotec has agreed with India's Bhushan Power & Steel Plant Limited (BPSL) on the delivery of pelletizing technology for BPSL's steel plant expansion at Jharsuguda, located in Orissa state, India. The parties have agreed not to disclose the contract price.

According to a Outotec statement, the company's delivery covers engineering and supply of proprietary equipment for an iron ore pelletizing plant designed to produce annually 3.85 million mt of pellets. The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in mid-2012. Historically the value of corresponding technology packages has been €20-30 million depending on the scope. The order is included in Outotec's Q1 order intake in 2010.
