Outokumpu Stainless restructures its long product unit

According to the statement released from Outokumpu Stainless, the company is restructuring its long product unit by splitting into two. The new Sheffield Primary Products unit will focus on the primary products business such as slabs, billets and blooms and comprise melting shop, casting facilities in Sheffield and billet rolling mill in Degerfors. The new Long Product business unit will comprise alloy steel rods and AvestaPolarit Welding. The new organization will be in effect as of May 1, 2004.
