Outokumpu records decline in 2005 stainless sales

Outokumpu announced 8 percent year on year decrease in stainless steel deliveries of 2005 mainly due to low demand as a result of strong de-stocking in Europe and roll-out of new capacity in China. The company's total steel deliveries in 2005 totaled 1.65 million metric tons while the deliveries in 2004 were near to 1.79 million metric tons.
