OMK’s Vyksa issues Jan-Oct production results

The Russian steel and pipe producer United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced that its Novgorod-based pipe producer Vyksa Steel Works (Vyksa) has issued its production results for October and for the first ten months of 2009.

Accordingly, in January-October this year Vyksa produced 1.258 million mt of pipes (also including large diameter (LD) pipes) - up 3.3 percent year on year, while its shipments amounted to about 1.296 million mt.

In October this year, Vyksa increased its output of pipes by nine percent year on year to 120,992 mt, while it delivered 139,098 mt of pipes - up 31.1 percent year on year. 

Meanwhile, the plant's October pipe output included 77,809 mt of LD pipes - up ten percent compared to October 2008, while its pipe output in January-October included 785,473 mt of LD pipes - up 21 percent year on year.
