The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries slowed to 1.9 percent in June this year, compared to 2.1 percent in the previous month, according to the latest figures.
Excluding food and energy, annual inflation was stable at 1.8 percent in June, compared to May.
Compared with May, annual inflation in June increased to 1.6 percent in Germany from 1.5 percent and remained stable in Japan at 0.4 percent. In June as compared with May, annual inflation decreased to 1.0 percent in Canada from 1.3 percent, moved down to 1.6 percent in the US from 1.9 percent, fell to 2.6 percent in the United Kingdom from 2.9 percent, decreased to 1.2 percent in Italy from 1.4 percent and narrowed to 0.7 percent in France from 0.8 percent.
