Nucor announces $85 million modernization of Ohio bar mill

Nucor Corporation announced today that it will be investing $85 million to upgrade technology at the rolling mill in the company’s Marion, Ohio steel bar facility. Nucor Steel Marion, Inc. produces rebar and signpost with an annual production capacity of over 400,000 tons.
 
The mill, which has produced steel for 100 years, currently employs 265 workers; the modernization project could add an additional 15 workers.
