Vancouver, Washington, US-based welded steel pipe producer Northwest Pipe Company (Northwest Pipe) has announced the receipt of orders for two major water pipeline projects worth $14 billion.
Under the scope of the first contract with Ames Construction of West Valley City, Utah, Northwest Pipe will supply approximately 10,000 feet of 96-inch pipe for the Utah Lake/Spanish Fork Reach 3 project. The pipe will be manufactured at Northwest Pipe's Adelanto, California facility with delivery scheduled to begin late in the third quarter of this year.
In addition, the second contract is with SJ Louis Construction of Mansfield, Texas. Northwest Pipe will supply approximately 20,000 feet of 60-inch pipe for the Utah Lake/South Fork to Provo Canal/Mapleton Reach project. The pipe will be manufactured at the Saginaw, Texas facility with delivery to begin early in the third quarter.
Both of these projects are part of the Central Utah Project Completion Act (CUPCA) enacted in 1992.
