Major European iron ore concentrate producer Northland Resources has announced that it will cut 21 jobs after reaching an understanding concerning organizational changes with the relevant labor union.

According to the reorganization plan, the company will move parts of the administrative staff currently allocated in Luleå closer to the operations in Pajala and the number of employees will be reduced.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, Northland Resources recently announced that it has decided to temporarily suspend payments to its suppliers and creditors and that, while it will complete construction of the second processing line at the Kaunisvaara iron ore project, it will not put this line into production at current price levels, limiting its operations to one line.
