North American rig counts, week ending October 8

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, the weekly US rotary rig count is up 12 from last week to 1671. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 630 rigs. 

The Canadian rig count is up 90 from last week and is now at 403, representing a 164 year-over-year increase. 

The US Offshore rig count is 20, up 1 from last week; down 13 year over year.
