North American rig counts, week ending December 17

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, the weekly US rotary rig count is down 14 from last week to 1709. This reflects a year-on year increase of 516 rigs.

The Canadian rig count is up 18 from last week and is now at 500, representing a 132 year-over-year increase. 

The US Offshore rig count is 23, unchanged from last week, and down 11 year over year.
