North American rig counts, week ending August 13

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, the North American rotary rig count increased 35 to 1,640 for the week ending August 13. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 672 rigs. Texas noted the greatest increase in rig count from last week, increasing by 29 since Baker Hughes’ last report, from 691 to 720.
