Non-financial FDI by Chinese companies up 44.1 percent in 2016

In 2016, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled $170.11 billion, up 44.1 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).

In 2016, new foreign projects contracted by Chinese companies were worth a total value of $244.01 billion, rising by 16.2 percent year on year.
