In the January-July period of the current year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled $57.2 billion, down 44.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In the January-July period this year, foreign projects contracted by Chinese companies were worth a total value of $77.56 billion, up 0.6 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, Chinese companies made new investments worth a total of $7.65 billion in the 50 countries in the One Belt, One Road area, accounting for 13.4 percent of the total investment in the given period, increasing by 5.7 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
