NMDC’s iron ore output up 21 percent in April-February

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the first 11 months of the financial year 2016-17 (started April 1, 2016) it produced 30.33 million mt of iron ore, registering an increase of 21 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 32.33 million mt, up 25 percent year on year.
 
During the first 11 months, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 10.92 million mt, up four percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines increased by 33.4 percent to 19.41 million mt, both year on year.
