NLMK’s quality management system complies with international standards

The Russian steel producer Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced that it has successfully passed the recertification audit conducted by the independent German certifying agency TÜV SÜD, which confirmed its compliance with international standard ISO 16949:2009 ‘Quality Management Systems - Particular requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2008 for automotive production and relevant service part organizations.’ Accordingly, the compliance with ISO/TS 16949 requirements enables NLMK to supply to the global automotive industry (IATF). The certificate currently covers the production of slabs, hot rolled and cold rolled flats of carbon and low-alloy steel in coils and sheets, including galvanized products for the automotive industry.
