NLMK to proceed with Maxi-Group project in Sverdlovsk region

At the meeting between the governor of Russia's Sverdlovsk region, Mr. Eduard Rossel, and the owner of Russian steel producer Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), Mr. Vladimir Lisin, the latter confirmed NLMK's commitment to its Maxi-Group project in the Sverdlovsk region. 

Maxi-Group, a controlling stake in which was recently acquired by NLMK, is currently holding a feasibility study in the region for the construction of a mini-mill there.

Mr. Lisin also added that NLMK is planning to implement an investment program at its subsidiary VIZ-Stal which is located at Yekaterinburg, the capital city of the Sverdlovsk region.
