NLMK to overhaul hot rolling mill 2000

Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced that in October this year it plans to carry out major repairs of its hot rolling mill 2000. The overhaul work will continue during 10 days.

Due to the repair works, in October this year flat steel production may decline by 28 percent compared to September to 336,000 mt. At the same time, production of slab is expected to rise by 39 percent month on month to 660,000 mt, including 610,000 mt of slabs for export.

In the January-September period of the current year, NLMK produced around 8.8 million mt of steel products, up three percent year on year.
