NLMK to maintain August output at July levels

Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has stated that in August this year it plans to produce one million mt of crude steel in August and one million mt of finished steel products, unchanged compared to July output levels.
 
In the January-July period of the current year, NLMK produced 7 million mt of crude steel, up 25 percent, and 6.7 million mt of steel products, up 34 percent, both year on year.

In addition, in August NLMK plans to increase its slab exports by five percent compared to July, to 508,000 mt.
