NLMK to keep February slab export volume at January level

In February this year, Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) plans to maintain its steel slab export volume at the January level, i.e., at around 470,000 mt. In total, NLMK plans to produce up to 930,000 mt of crude steel in February, down six percent compared to January, and 900,000 mt of steel products, down one percent month on month.

In January of the current year, NLMK produced 995,000 mt of crude steel, up 25 percent year on year, and 906,000 mt of steel products, up 21 percent year on year.
